Process Maturity Scorecard

Improve Delivery, Step by Step

The process maturity scorecard shows you exactly what to improve to accelerate delivery and increase quality.

Actions Speak Louder than Dashboards

Putting metrics in a chart is easy — translating them into action is more difficult.
minware's process maturity scorecard comes from decades of experience coaching engineers and leading software organizations. Each of the metrics represents a SMART goal — that is, Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. Improving these metrics will help teams more consistently and efficiently meet their commitments.

Industry Benchmarks

Scorecard targets are based on experience with thousands of different teams, so you know exactly where you stand.

All Skill Levels

Scorecard checks range from basic to advanced so that teams of all skill levels will have a challenge.

Configurable

Choose from over 20 different metrics and filter down to what matters most for your team's process maturity goals.

Time-Weighted

All metrics are weighted by how much time people spend on specific code/tickets – focusing on the size of impact.

Frequently Asked Questions

My team is just getting started, isn't it too early to use the scorecard?

As long as you have a version control system in place (i.e., GitHub), the scorecard will help you — even if you're not using tickets. The basic checks look at best practices for branching, pull requests, and more, while the scorecard provides a roadmap for how your team can continue its path to maturity.

Can I control who sees the scorecard data?

Yes, minware offers access controls for team-level and individual-level data so you can control whether individuals, managers, and executives have access to data inside and outside their team.

Can I configure which metrics are shown?

Yes, when viewing the scorecard report, you can select the specific metrics that are shown from a library of over 20 metrics to focus on the particular things relevant to your team.

Where can I find a list of all the metrics?

You can find a list of all the metrics here.

Does the scorecard work for kanban?

If you are using a kanban process instead of scrum, most of the scorecard metrics are still relevant. There are only a few metrics that are specific to the scrum agile process.
